Because it is cheaper to buy from the cd store than buy the cd online~ (in my case). I don't know how it works, but the price is like half than the original official price tag shown in Amazon or CDJapan. 
p/s:but off course there no way i can get those complimentary gift... And since the closing of Tower Record, getting imported cd from Japan becoming quite hard...
Really, that cd store sells them cheaper than online price (not including shipping)? There's a Kinokuniya near my area and they always sells the listed price with some form of shipping/import price included so it's almost the same as buying online.
As for the complimentary gifts, you can only get those buy going to certain stores in Japan.
im not buying from kinokuniya.. it just a small cd store dedicated for stuff from Japan and Korea. The owner is Japanese, she sell lots lots of those kind of stuff, anime, goodies, cd dvd etc. I don't know how come the price become cheaper but i buy everything from there, usually for standard imported cd cost around USD15..
My Do As Infinity DVD Do The A-Side was only USD15,
and lots of other stuff that i collected..
My friend used to work part time over there, i used to get lots of discount. I'm still a student, i don't have lots of money... huhu..
