hmm. what do I listen to....

Well I'll just rattle off  my top 5 non-B'z (of course B'z is #1)

2.ZARD  I love EVERY SINGLE SONG
3.Miho Komatsu  - My mellowing out music, relaxing
4.dream (pre-2003) -  The only girl group I've ever liked (But I only like the original 3 :Mai, Yu, and Kana)
5.Garnet Crow The most unique and awesome vocal out there besides Koshi
6.Either Yui or Every Little Thing (Both have great and unique vocals)

I listen to:

-L'Arc~en~Ciel
-Mr.Children( the 2nd best japanese band IMO)
-Mika Nakashima (the best japanese female singer IMO)

Did Sakurai from Mr.Children ever sing together with Inaba?

J-music I like:
- Zard
- Garnet Crow
- Shiina Ringo / Tokyo Jihen
- Mr.Children (not much.. they have some good song)
- Luna Sea

there are other bands but I don't really like them... maybe just one or two songs

I love Yui. Like her voice and her style of singing. I know Ikimonogakari but dont remember how they sound. Never heard the other one though ???

Other artists I like:
-Mr. Children (they have great songs, Sakurai successfully conveyed his emotion through the songs)
-Spitz (they're great! Their songs are easily lovable, some are all-time best IMO)
-Sukima Switch (their ballads can make one cries sometimes, eventhough you dont know what they mean)
-Suga Shikao (Somehow I love his voice, and some of his songs are very enjoyable)
-Shiina Ringo/Tokyo Jihen (Shiina ringo is a genius! I love really her songs and her band)

There are many others, but the above endures in my playlist

Never got into Mr. Children. In my case they were always overshadowed by B'z, L'Arc~en~Ciel and Asian Kung Fu Generation.

I thought of the opposite and it's true in so many ways.  They are getting more fans than B'z have these days.

Oh well, here's my intepretation of their sales figures
Can be biased in so many ways ::)

Mr. Children has more copies sold for an album/a single in average. B'z has less copies sold, but they have plenty of albums/singles (B'z is more productive in terms of number of albums/singles released, Mr. children is more productive in terms of sales gained through an album/a single)

And I think it's also true that Mr.Children gained more fanbase B'z did these days....several of my friends immediately become fans after listening to Mr.Children song samples.

Anyway eventhough I love both bands so much, for me B'z music endures longer in my ears than of Mr.Children

I think Mr.Children have more fans because they play pop.. as simple as that
